*Word For Mac 2011 Download Summary
You may see boxes where text should be in this scenario:
Download 51795 fonts in 25427 families. The best selection of fonts for Windows, Mac and Linux. The home of free fonts since 1998. In Office for Mac 2011, you create a custom theme in PowerPoint and then use it in Word or Excel. To learn how to create a theme in PowerPoint, see Create your own theme in PowerPoint. Note: Themes work more effectively when text is formatted by applying styles.
*
You open a document that contains Korean fonts in Word for Mac 2011.
*
The document was created on Word for Mac 2008 or Word 2010.
To fix this issue, do this:
*
Open the document that displays boxes instead of text.
*
Select all lines that include boxes.
*
On the Word menu, click Preferences.
*
Under Output and Sharing, click Compatibility.
*
Click Font Substitution.
*
Choose the Gulim font (under Substituted font), and then click OK.
This occurs because the default Korean font (Malgun Gothic) used in Word 2008 or Word 2010 is not used in Word 2011. When you open the document in Word 2011, it tries to substitute the font and chooses one that contains different characters (Arial Unicode MS).
I use Microsoft Word 2011 for Mac. Recently, since upgrading to macOS Sierra, I have noticed that many times when I launch Word (and, in some cases, some other applications such as ReadKit), it asks me to download some fonts.
Usually, they are fonts that I am unfamiliar with, but every time it happens, I dutifully say “Download”. The application downloads the font, and I continue with my work.
Then, after some time I launch the application again, and it asks me to download a font again. Each time I do so, dutifully.Download Fonts For Microsoft Word 2011 Mac Compatibility
However, the fonts were unfamiliar to me, and I had not been paying attention, so I had not realised that it is the same fonts that are being requested, and downloaded, again and again.
Only after about six months of this did I realise that clearly something is wrong with how these applications are downloading and storing these fonts in macOS Sierra. After a bit of research, I discovered that the way to fix it, once and for all, is;
Every time an app tells you to download a font, skip that dialog, but;
1. Launch Font Book (find it via Spotlight Search)Download Fonts For Microsoft Word Mac
2. Find the font thereWord For Mac 2011 Download
3. Choose to Download it.
And this should now should be permanent.
